It is a very interesting book about the reformation by an author who is an expert on the history of Christianity. It is rather bogged down with too much detail but otherwise gives a balanced view about the Reformation and Counter Reformation (reform within the Catholic Church itself). It's not biased towards the Catholic or Protestant faiths/5(). The history of the Reformation is the history of one of the greatest outpourings of the life that cometh from God.
